Post by Darth Vacuus on Oct 4, 2008 18:58:53 GMT
Full name: Rein Tarkkin (Darth Vacuus)
Gender: Male
Age: 22 (?)
Race: Nigai
Faction: Sith
Era: All
General Description: Ebony locks cascade, veiling porcelain complexion, seemingly unscathed, save for ebony tattoo's upon it. This symbolized his ties to the Sith. Large ebony robe drenched his form, draping over his shoulders. Hood of said robe always up, further veiling youthful features. Constitution, one of slim stature. Cold, crimson pools pierced the ebony waterfall that veiled them, not common among Nigai.
Attire/Clothing: Rein is sually garbbed in an ebony robe, large. But, he is also seen wearing light armor and a custom mask. This mask is a slab of relfective metal, eerie to the eye. The mask was custom, no eye holes nor mouth holes. It did not resemble any features at all, just an irob slab, outlined to the fit the perimeter of the face, but not portray any features. Most of the time, Darth Vacuus wears the robe over this armor and mask. Upon his right arm, he wore a metallic clove, fitted with talons.
Persona: Vacuus is cold and blunt, quick to ridicule and put down. He speaks in respects to superiors only, which is rare.
History: Rein's sinister aura was forced into the world upon the home planet of the Nigai. His birth nearly took the life of his mother, but allowing her to live. This male was instantly noticed by both the Jedi and the Sith, for his extreme strength in the force at such a young age. Both sides stayed back, simply monitoring his growth. The boy was gifted with the ability to utilize the force at will, being such a youngster. At the age of 2, the boy was offten seen levitating things such as food, plates, etc. This was completely subconsiously, being born a force user.
As Rein grew older, his father constantly tried to supress his sons power, hoping to rid the boy of knowledge. And, it worked to an extent. It was not jelousy that drove his father figure, but fear. Rein instantly brought about a malicious aura upon entering a room. Xe'nat, his father, was stricken with fear just thinking about the boys capabilities if he figured out his true strengths. As the years passed, Xe'nat was able to supress the boys knowledge of his powers, but not enough.
Day after day, Xe'nat was more and more convinced that Rein was a manifestation of pure evil. But he forced himself to shake the thought, and raise his son as he should. At the age of 4, Rein seemed to be a bit of an odd child. He would never crack a smile, simply do what he needed to do, and seperate himself from everyone. Now was the time to move for both the Jedi and the Sith, both sides seeing great possibilities in the boy. Only one thing had changed, the Jedi Council sensed the ill-fated future of the boy and refused to take him as a Jedi, leaving him to the Sith.
It was an average day, same as always. When Rein's homeplanet had been raided, Sith had come in search of him. The young boy had been plucked from his home, having both his mother and father slaughtered before his eyes.. A smile cracked upon the Sith lord that massacured the two. Rein's youthful visage was absent of any anguish or dismay. Emptyness filled his eyes, "Perfect.."was the only words exchanged at that time, from the Sith Lord..
From that day, Rein became an extremely powerful Sith warrior, an apprentice to Darth Invidia. He was trained vigorously for years, hardly ever seeing light or life. He was only to see death, being an assassin for his master, making light work of his enemies. As time passed, Rein's hunger grew, he wanted power. Soon, it consumed him, to the point where he trained without order to. Quickly, Rein amplified his strengths, enough to be noticed by his master. With his massive increase in power, he was given the name Darth Vacuus, which means void in latin.
This only fed the flame that burned within him, he wanted more.. This only led to Vacuus battling his master, and what a battle is was. Vacuus almost made things seem easy, he cut down his master in under 15 minutes. Vacuus took his masters lightsaber, and severed it in two with his own. From there, Vacuus took order from only the Dark Lord of the Sith. Vacuus became one of the most powerful assassins to date, unknown to most of course.

Lightsaber Forms:
Form I (Mastered)
Form I, also called Way of the Sarlacc, was born. Shii-Cho was the most ancient style of lightsaber combat, developed by early Jedi Masters to incorporate key principles of ancient sword-fighting traditions. Existing as the simplest form even four thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, Shii-Cho was among the many forms known to the Jedi.
Form II, Maskashi (Learning, Adept)
Form II came about as a means of lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. It was described as being very elegant, powerful, and requiring extreme precision, allowing the user to attack and defend with minimal effort, while his opponent tires himself out, often wielding the blade one-handed for greater range of movement and fluidity. The form relied on parries, thrusts, and small, precise cuts—as opposed to the blocking and slashing of the other forms. Form II countered sun djem, the goal of early Form I masters, by being well trained in prevention of disarming and weapon destruction.
Form IV, Ataru (Learning, Moderate)
Ataru was an aggressive combat form relying on a combination of power, strength, and speed. Practitioners of Ataru were always on the offensive, attacking with wide, fast, and powerful swings. Form IV practitioners constantly called upon the Force to aid in their movements and attacks. By allowing the Force to flow throughout their body, they could over come their physical limitations and perform amazing feats of acrobatics, such as somersaults and backflips, not only for attack, but also to evade the attacks and strikes of their opponents. Jedi utilizing Ataru needed to incorporate all the Force powers that involved surpassing normal physical ranges of motion, speed, and agility in order to be successful. Running, jumping, and spinning were all emphasized in learning the elaborate kinetics of the form.
Those who used Form IV could move at high speeds and could rain strong blows, jumping and attacking through the air. Powerful and quick spinning attacks could be utilized from all angles, either from ground or air. A master in Ataru combat could appear like a blur to their opponents, attacking from all directions—from the front, the sides, overhead, or behind. The Force not only allowed them to perform athletic feats not possible otherwise, but it also helped guide their actions and movements in combat.
The opening stance for Ataru was a balanced two-handed guard: holding the lightsaber vertically with both palms, either on the right or left side of the body.
Form V, Shien (Learning, Moderate)
Form V was created by Form III masters who preferred a more offensive style, since the defensive nature of Form III could lead to prolonged combat. It evolved into an accepted style by combining the defensive maneuvers of Form III with the more aggressive philosophy and tactics of Form II. Form V also required a higher level of physical strength than the other lightsaber forms, due to its focus on complete domination of opponents. The form was developed alongside Form IV at a time when the Jedi were increasingly called upon to actively keep the peace.
Some Jedi, noting its dedication to domination and strength, felt that Form V encouraged an inappropriate focus on controlling others. Others, including noted lightsaber combat instructor Cin Drallig were cautiously neutral about the form. However, its proponents maintained that Form V was an effective and powerful tool for the Jedi Order.
Form V had two distinct variations: Shien and Djem So.
Form VII, Vaapad (Learning, Adept)
Intrepid, somewhat direct movements were used in combination with advanced techniques involving Force-powered jumps and very fast motions. Form VII did not appear quite as fancy as Form IV, as there were not as many moves like twirling and flipping, but the technical requirements were much higher. Vaapad used seemingly free-wheeling and open movements, but with utter control on the part of the wielder. The end result, if practiced correctly, was a very unpredictable lightsaber style. The staccato swings and flow of the form made it seem as if the attacks were not linked—but in reality, it was merely confusing the opponent.
Vaapad bordered on the edge of falling to the dark side, as it channeled one's enjoyment of fighting into the attack. Only Windu's mastery and concentration on the light side prevented him from succumbing to his own anger, which is why Vaapad was rarely practiced and very dangerous.
Force Abilities:
Force Speed was a Force power that allowed the user to maintain sprinting speeds (even moving in awkward directions like backwards) for a brief time. Greater aptitude granted greater boosts to speed and/or greater duration. The power also apparently enabled the user to run for extended distances with no visible signs of fatigue.
The increased speed of the Jedi enabled him to see the world and the entities around him in slow motion. This allowed the Jedi to dodge attacks easier, and attack quicker with greater accuracy.
The duration and the amount of speed were subject to the user's skill in the Force. With sufficient skill, one could actually run on vertical surfaces for brief periods of time.
Hibernation trance, Jedi hibernation, Force trance, or Recovery trance was a Control-based ability of a Force-user to go into a very deep hibernation state. This slowed down the user's metabolism and breathing to a standstill, causing the individual to only use one tenth of the air of a normal individual. A fully trained Force-user could stay in this state for up to one week in a dry climate or one month in a wet climate before dying from lack of water
Tapas was a Force power that allowed its user to draw on the power of the force to remain warm in a cold environment.
Force Empathy was a Force power related to Force Sense, but involved picking up impressions of an individuals emotional state.
Telepathy was the very basic ability to mentally communicate over small or vast distances with other individuals. Every Force user, Jedi or Sith, was able to use it. The range of telepathy itself is theoretically infinite, but the telepath must be able to sense the presences of those they wish to contact. Thus, communicating with non-Force-sensitives became nearly impossible over distances greater than a handful of kilometers, and the typical upper limit for Force-sensitives was approximately 1,000 kilometers. However, individuals who are siblings, lovers, or lifelong friends, or who were once master and apprentice, have been known to communicate across ranges far longer than that, and, in extreme cases, the link is apparently limitless.
Deadly Sight was a power of the dark side, focusing the user's hatred into deadly energy. With it, Dark Jedi could inflict pain and injury upon their foes merely by looking at them, causing victim's body to burn and smoke as they died. With this power, the user could damage entire groups of foes within their field of vision.
Tiring to sustain, it was inefficient in terms of the strain caused on the user's Force reserves, but was nevertheless effective in the right situation, namely: in situations when the number of enemies within its user's line of sight was at a maximum, such as when he or she might have been facing a hangar filled with over a dozen stormtroopers.
It should be noted that Deadly Sight injured everyone that the user looked at, including allies and civilians; it is unknown whether or not it could be refined, especially because of its dark nature. ( LEARNING )
Force Deflection was a Force power used by Jedi and Sith who were without a lightsaber, or chose not to carry one. It is unknown exactly if the Jedi and Sith merely created a wall using the Force to deflect blaster bolts and Force Powers, or if they actually deflected them back with their hand. It took much skill in the Force to use this, however, and most Jedi used their lightsabers instead to deflect incoming attacks.
Telekinesis, abbreviated TK,[1] was a neutral ability that most Force-sensitives had. With it, they could lift objects according to their concentration and move them, hovering the items in any direction. This ability was the base for Force Pull, Force Throw and Force Push, as well as telekinetic lightsaber combat techniques such as Saber Throw. It could be disputed that these are all the same power applied to different means.
Force Jump used the Force to augment the user's natural leaping ability. Force users adept in this technique could perform awe-inspiring vertical/horizontal leaps with impunity. The user could leap tremendous distances when combining this technique with that of Force Speed.
Force lightning was a purely energy-based attack used by practitioners of the dark side, especially the Sith. Because of this association, the ability was commonly referred to as Sith lightning. The attack channeled Force energy down the user's limbs, hurling arcing bolts of electricity from the wielder's fingertips or palms; Force lightning could be executed with either one or two hands. Powerful discharges would branch out into dozens of smaller forks; thus, skilled practitioners could target several foes at once.
Force Wound
Force Choke
It caused immobilization and choking, which with prolonged focus, could lead to death. The area affected was typically the target's neck. The target was not lifted or moved about. The reason why Sith masters usually used it instead of Grip, is when they need to just punish, threaten, or scare their target, without wanting to cause death.
The spear of midnight black was an ancient dark side Force power. It enabled the Force-user to summon the Force and forge with it an invisible spear from dark side energies which could be hurled at opponents, killing or injuring them as if it was a real physical spear
The Thought Bomb was a powerful and destructive application of the dark side of the Force which targeted all Force-sensitive individuals and vaporized clothing, flesh, bone, and even stone within the radius of the weapon's blast. The thought bomb sucked the souls of its victims into a sphere of dark side energy where they were trapped in an orb of dark torment until the end of time. ( NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO USE, YET..)
Force Fear was a dark side Force power and possibly a dark side variant on the Jedi mind trick, used around 4,000 BBY by Sith and Jedi with dark side tendencies. It caused a single enemy to experience intense fear, making them cower for a short time.
In a variation of this ability, the wielder would strike directly at the deepest parts of the target's mind, causing an uncontrollable shaking fear that would wreak havoc with the target's capabilities. While it couldn't cause the victim to cower, it could reduce their abilities to pitiful levels, and was impossible to defend against without embracing the fear and descending into darkness.
Force Grip, or The Grip.
A crushing application of the Force, Force Grip was an advanced level of Force Choke and could be used to levitate and strangle a target's internal organs. However, the primary purpose was to immobilise or control a target's movement and choking the target to death could be secondary. The target could be seized with great strength and subsequently lifted off their feet and suspended in the air by a powerful user.
Force Crush.
It was possibly the darkest Force ability known to both the Sith and the Jedi. This deadly ability lifted the opponent into the air, and as he/she was floating, his/her body literally imploded as it was crushed by the Force.
