(Note: This is for people who do like Star Wars but do not understand Roleplaying)
Aim
The aim in all roleplay games is to make/have a character, and then post in a story with what that character says, does, or what happens to that character. Basically, you read the posts written so far, and then post accordingly to how your character reacts tyo the situation. Note, you cannot control other people's characters. That is called 'Powerplaying.
1)You cannot have Powerplaying. This is when you control people's characters or posting stuff about other people's characters. That includes controlling the narative part of the story and Only the narrator(The person who starts the roleplay)can control other peoples characters and major events of a story. People playing only as characters can only post to what their character does. The use of supernatural beings and mind control/magic is forbidden in all roleplay, unless used by a narrator for their own story when nessecary.
1/2)You also cannot have God Modding. That is like making your character unhurt. You cannot have that. You're character will get hurt, no matter what
1/4)Meta-Gaming is absolutly not allowed. That is like making a random thing appear from thin air and turning it into a weapon
1/8)No Sexual related stuff is to be in the RP threads. You can have Kissing or snogging or hugging but Sexual stuff is absolutly not allowed
2)You have to read Every previous thread in the roleplay to know what's happened and what's happening. You cannot post something that might have been appropriate earlier on if it isn't later on. For example, if someone is in one building at the beggining, and they've moves somewhere else, you cannot post saying you met them in the former building once they've already said that they've moved. You need to know how it stands so far, not just how it was earlier on, when you post.
3)If you want to start a thread, feel free to do so. Anyone is free to join provided they keep to these rules, but will be disqualified when (a) they break the rules and the narrator decides to kick them out, or (b) their character dies, or is unable to do anything further in the story. When starting a thread, you need to describe enough about it to allow the next person to continue it on.
4)You must keep to the restrictions in a story set by the narrator. For example, you can't mention Microsoft Windows computers if you are doing RPing on a thread. The narrator can add/change restrictions/limitations in their own story anytime during the story's course.
5)If you decide to leave a story that you've already joined, then you need your character get killed. Simply make your character get killed, otherwise make your character commit suicide or maybe make your character do something like this: 'Then he walked to his spaceship and then left Earth flying away'. Do not delete your previous posts, because they might have become important to the story.
6. If you started a story, and people are posting on it, but you don't want to do it anymore, then find a way to get all the characters (ot just the bad guys at least) killed off. As a narrator, you can do this how you like, as long as you stick to the theme of your story.
7. If someone posts innapropriate messages in a story, you will need to make a request to Darth Shockeye or another staff member in order for the innapropriate posts to be deleted.
8. Please write your messages in third person. Do not use 'I did this, I said that', but use 'James said this, James said that'. Only speech may be in first person form. For example 'James said "I was here first".'. If you do that, I will PM you to change it
9. If you want to post a comment in a story that isn't actually part of the story, you need to use some distinctive punctuation to make it stand out as a comment. Best ones to use are:
<!-- your comments -->
// your comments
(( your comments ))
/* your comments */
10. A little suggestion to go with the second rule. If you have a problematic internet connecting or not anough internet access to keep up with a story, remember that you can always print/save the forum webpages and read them at your own leisure.
TO SAVE A WEBPAGE: Click FILE and SAVE AS and save it in your documents or on a floppy disk/USB.
TO PRINT: Don't print straight from the internet, because sometimes the end of the page gets cut off, and you lose what you want to read. Instead, click EDIT and SELECT ALL. Then click EDIT and COPY. Open a blank Word document, and in the word document, click EDIT and PASTE. Now click FILE and PRINT PREVIEW, and make sure the content fits to the page before you print. Click FILE and PRINT to print.
11)If you have a problem with writing stuff in script form or something like that, that's ok. If you are having problems and don't know how to do any Roleplay, please PM me or a staff member. We can help you
thank you for reading the rules. Enjoy the role-playing. Feel free to reply here with suggestions/questions.
